Leadership Development Programs

Comprehensive training that combines spiritual formation with practical skills to develop confident, ethical leaders rooted in Gospel principles.

Africa Leadership & Development Fellows Program

LADA is a transformative 7-month leadership journey jointly administered by ICY Africa, Africa for SDGs, and Springdale College (UK). This fully-sponsored initiative aims to nurture a new generation of ethical, skilled, and purpose-driven leaders prepared to make impact at local, national, and global levels.

The program builds competencies in leadership practice, communication, personal development, ethical governance, economic stewardship, and global citizenship. Upon successful completion, participants are awarded a Diploma in Leadership and Development Studies, equipping them for sustainable and inclusive leadership roles across sectors.

Junior Leaders Program

The ICY Junior Leaders Program (JLP) is a nine-month program for Primary and high school students who are interested in acquiring essential leadership skills and increasing civic engagement. The program aims to promote 21st-century skill development, including critical thinking, communication, collaboration, creativity, life and career skills, and information technology skills.

Monthly program days provide students with a behind-the-scenes look at ICY through on-site visits, guest speakers, and experiential learning activities. Students are introduced to various sectors of the community, including government, health and human services, business, and recreation.

As a part of the program, students will work on a class project that fosters leadership skills and service learning through a community impact project requiring research, action, and reflection. The project is designed to contribute to the betterment of the community while helping students to develop leadership skills and enhance their knowledge of civic engagement.

The program’s ultimate goal is to equip students with essential leadership skills that will enable them to take on leadership roles and actively engage with their communities.

Women L.I.F.E Program

The Women LIFE Program is a transformational initiative focused on empowering women across Kenya through leadership development, financial literacy, entrepreneurship, innovation skills, and community engagement. The program aims to tackle persistent gender disparities, enhance women’s socio-economic participation, and nurture the next generation of women leaders at community, county, and national levels.

Lead the Cause Program

Lead THE Cause (LTC) is a one-week summer camp alternative from Dare 2 Share Ministries. At LTC, youth groups spend an intensive week praying, learning, and brainstorming together to reach their community for Christ. They experience:

Deep Prayer

Interceding for their lost friends. Students spend the first day and a half learning to align their heart with God’s and His desire for all to come to faith in Him.

Faith Sharing

Students get many outreach opportunities to share the Gospel. Two entire afternoons are dedicated to hands-on outreach, speaking with strangers, and starting Gospel conversations. Students are also challenged to bring up the Gospel with friends and family back home via text, phone calls and written letters.

Vision Planning

Groups get time to brainstorm together about how to reach their community for Christ. Students will pray and plan ways they can reach their own circles of influence with the Gospel, coming away with a strategic plan and specific goals.
